Sync Options

The PrinterLogic Agent has several sync options to keep installed printers uniform with Admin Console configurations.
Navigate to Tools
Settings
Client in the Admin Console, and turn on the settings that are best suited for your environment.
TCP/IP & Windows Shared Printer Settings
- Sync Delete
- After you remove a printer from the Admin Console tree structure, devices with that printer installed automatically uninstall the printer during the next Agent check-in.
- Sync Deployment
- After you remove a printer deployment from a printer object in the Admin Console, devices with that printer installed that no longer have a valid deployment association automatically uninstall the printer during the next Agent check-in.
- Keep Existing Printers
- If the printer exists on the device before you create the deployment, the Agent does not uninstall the printer after removing the deployment.
Printer Settings
- Sync General / Port
- This setting syncs changes on the printer object's General and Port tabs to the settings on printers installed on end user devices, such as printer name, port, IP address, etc.
- Sync Driver
- When you update the driver for a printer object in the Admin Console, devices with that printer object installed update to the new driver during the next Agent check-in.
- Sync Profiles
- Devices with installed printers that use driver profiles have two options for automatically updating the profiles during the next Agent check-in:
- Reapply profiles every login/client check-in or refresh
- Driver profiles reapply during each Agent check-in, undoing any local profile changes.
- Reapply profiles after each print job
- Driver profiles reapply after each print job, undoing any local profile changes.
