Connect Box Cloud Storage
Box Connection Requirements
To connect Vasion to Box you need the following:
- Access to the Box Developer Console
- An existing app or a new app with read and write privileges
- Vasion Admin rights
App Configuration
- Navigate to https://developer.box.com/ and log in
- Create a new app or select an existing app that has read / write privileges
- Once inside the app, select Configuration
- In the Authentication Method make sure the Standard OAuth 2.0 (User Authentication) is selected
Find Client ID and Client Secret
- In the app Configuration page find the OAuth 2.0 Credentials section
- Copy the Client ID so you can paste it in Step 5 of the connection instructions below
- Copy the Client Secret so you can paste it in Step 5 of the connection instructions below
It can take up to 3 minutes or more for the connection to register before it is available to configure in Vasion
Connect Box
- Click on the Admin App and click on Cloud Storage in the navigation menu

Double-click Add Storage Provider

In the Select Cloud Storage Provider modal Click on Box and then click Continue
- In the Connect Box modal enter the following:
Client Connection Description — enter a unique name for this storage connection. This name is displayed when navigating to this location in the Vasion apps.
- Client ID — paste the Client ID details from the Box browser tab (Step 2 of the previous section above)
Client Secret — paste the Client Secret from the Box browser tab (Step 3 of the previous section above)

Use for Data Automation Only — check this box if the storage connection is only used for the Import or Export automations.
- Copy the Client URI text and go back to the Box browser tab.
- Find the OAuth 2.0 Redirect URI section and paste the client URI you copied from the Vasion module in the text box field
- Go back to Vasion browser tab Connect Box modal in and click Finish Setup

Once you're redirected to the Box Authorize page, log in and grant access to Box
When the drive is connected you should see a successful connection alert.
If you have selected to use the drive for data automation only, the drive does not display when navigating storage locations in the Vasion apps. The drive is only visible when configuring Import or Export automations. For more details, see Import / Export.
Edit the Box Connection
You can make any updates to the connection at any time by doing the following:

Double-click the connection tile

Update the information in the appropriate fields
- Click Authorize
Delete the Box Connection
To delete the cloud storage connection do the following

Double-click the connection tile

Click Delete Connection

In the delete confirmation modal click Yes
