This Application version is only available by upgrading to Host version 25.3.245 and is not an update option for previous Host versions. Selecting the Update Now button in the console while on a previous Host build will not update the Application to this version.

This Application version is incompatible with Host builds 22.0.933 and earlier. You must upgrade to Host build 22.0.951 or later to stay within compatible versions. Selecting the Update Now button in the Admin Console while on an incompatible build may break your instance.

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance security, streamline functionality, and align with industry best practices, Vasion deprecated the Virtual Appliance Internal Service Client in this release.

Impact: Customers utilizing the Internal Service Client should not upgrade to this version until they've reconfigured the services to use an external Service Client. Upgrading to this version before migrating to an external Service Client will cause a loss of functionality for the services running on the Internal Service Client.

Virtual Appliance versions Host v25.1.116 / Application v25.1.1428 and earlier support the Internal Service Client. Do not upgrade past these version before switching to the external Service Client.

New Features and Enhancements

Vasion Output

Vasion Output introduces powerful new features designed to simplify configuration, enhance integration, and improve visibility across your print environment:

• The Output Console introduces a centralized tool for admins that helps monitor and maintain their Vasion Output environment. Recover from issues quickly, reprint, redirect, stop, and start print jobs. For more details refer to Vasion Output Console.
  • Output Console updates: Cancel print jobs and release held print jobs. For more details refer to Output Console: Print Job Actions.
• Custom Print Job Fields to further organize your Output Console. For more details refer to Custom Print Job Fields.
• SAP Connector which links an Output service to SAP using a RESTful web API. For more details refer to Configure SAP Integration.
• The Quick Config tool is an in-app feature designed to simplify and accelerate the process of making mass printer updates. Currently focused on Vasion Output features, it is a lightweight alternative to the Data Manager for targeted, large-scale edits. For more details refer to Quick Config Tool.
• Epic / API Tray Mappings simplifies setup by eliminating the need for record-by-record updates and allows tray configurations to be managed more efficiently across printers. For more details refer to Additional Options.
• Rules and Routing automates print behaviors according to predefined criteria. For more details refer to Rules & Routing.

Vasion Output is not a feature enabled by default and requires an upgrade to the Host version. Contact your Vasion representative for details and assistance to enable this feature.

Virtual Appliance

• Prioritize Workstation Release setting for Offline Secure Release Print, found on the Admin Console's Tools Settings Printing page. When enabled, this setting introduces a short delay, allowing the service to see if the workstation Client is online to release the job before releasing it through the OSRP Client. This setting improves OSRP communication and can reduce the delay when OSRP jobs get released. For more details refer to Offline Secure Release Print (OSRP).
• Offline Secure Release Print now offers support for macOS / Linux Client v25.2.0.40 or higher. For more details refer to Offline Secure Release Print (OSRP).
• Konica Minolta CPA now supports Simplified Scanning features. For more details refer to Simplified Scanning.
• Admins can now change the log level for Printer Apps directly in the Admin Console, making it easier to keep log file sizes small, troubleshoot, and reduce processing overhead. For more details refer to Service Log Level Section.
• The buttons in the Deployable Client Packages section on Tools Settings Client reflect the supported Linux Red Hat versions (8, 9).
• Updated the CPA logo to reflect Vasion Print. This change will not force / require a reinstall of the CPA.
• Added a Try Again button to the printer object's Apps tab. This button comes with a slight change to failed installations. With the change, if a CPA installation fails twice in a row, an error message and the Try Again button show on the Apps tab. You must select the Try Again button before the service attempts another installation.
• The Independent Service Manager (ISM) is an alternative Service Client that does not require the Virtual Appliance Client installed. For more details refer to Independent Service Manager (ISM).
