Rules & Routing Workflows

Rules & Routing automates print output behaviors based on predefined criteria. Use Rules & Routing when you need granular control over how Vasion Output print jobs are handled across your Virtual Appliance environment. For example, a print job automatically redirects to a backup printer when the primary printer fails. The benefits of Rules & Routing include the following:

• Direct, granular control over where Vasion Output print jobs are sent and how they are printed.
• Automatic redirection during connectivity issues or device outages to ensure seamless operations.
• Protection of sensitive documents by preventing unauthorized print jobs.
• Distribution of high-volume print jobs across multiple printers for increased efficiency.

Requirements

To create and manage Rules & Routing, you need the following:

• Rules Admin role assigned to the user to create and manage rules.
• Rules Viewer role assigned to the user to view rules.
• Vasion Output licensed for your environment.
• Vasion Output configured in Virtual Appliance. Refer to Vasion Output.
