Roles & Permissions
Last Updated: April 07, 2026
Roles and permissions control what users can view and do in Vasion Automate. A role is a collection of permissions that defines a user's level of access to one or more apps. You assign roles to individual users or groups to apply consistent access across your organization.
Key Points
Review the following key points:
- Only Application Admins can create, edit, and assign roles in Vasion Automate.
- Vasion Automate includes default roles that cover the most common access needs. You cannot edit or delete default roles.
- You can assign roles to individual users.
- You do not manage Print and Output permissions here. You manage those permissions in the Admin Console in Vasion Print.
How Roles & Permissions Work
Each role defines access at the app level. When you view a role, the access level assigned to each app appears.
