Business Process Workflow
Last Updated: May 14, 2026
A Business Process workflow automates the movement of work through a defined sequence of steps and people. Use Business Process workflows to connect data capture, approvals, and document handling into a single automated process, reducing reliance on paper and manual handoffs.
How It Works
Business Process workflows use a no-code drag-and-drop designer to guide work from initiation to completion. A workflow starts when a trigger event occurs, such as a form submission, and then routes work to the right people at the right time based on the steps you configure. Key features include the following:
- No-code workflow designer: Create and modify workflows using an intuitive drag-and-drop tool without specialized training.
- Branching workflow logic: Route work through complex approval, data capture, and signature processes based on the contents of a form or the outcome of a step.
- Email notifications: Notify assigned users of tasks that require their attention with automated email notifications.
Requirements
This feature requires the following:
- Workflow Creator role assigned to a user to create and manage workflows or access to a shared workflow.
