Security & Permissions

Vasion Automate Pro is a secure system that requires users to sign in with authorized, password-protected access. Authenticated users are assigned roles and apps that grant or limit access to specific folders, searches, workflows, documents and platform features. Groups may be created to simplify assigning roles and access to similar users. Password requirements and two-factor authentication can also be configured.

Users

The user management app can be used to create, edit and delete a variety of users for access to Vasion Automate Pro. Manage internal, API access, & portal users, and view external signers and logged in users. For more information, see User Management.

Roles

Additional permissions may be granted to users so they can efficiently perform tasks assigned to them, as necessary. Additional permissions can vary from "read only" to admin privileges, making it simple to make sure that information is used only as authorized.

Roles affect all document interactions, such as:

• Printing
• Modifying
• Markup
• Copying
• Deletion
• Moving
• Emailing

You can even redact and restrict portions of a document from one group of users while another group can view the restricted areas or hidden fields.

Groups

To streamline the user management process, Administrators can create user Groups based on functional areas of the organization and assign roles to the group. Roles assigned to the Group are inherited when a user is added to the Group. Specific users within a group can have additional roles assigned individually.
