Agent Tools Reference

Last Updated: October 25, 2026

This feature is in beta. Capabilities, configuration, and availability may change as development continues. Contact your Vasion representative with feedback to help shape this feature.

Tools are the capabilities that an agent uses to act, such as running code, looking up reference data, or sending a message. Use this reference to identify the tools that you can add to an agent and what each tool does. The tools that you see in the Tools section of an agent depend on your permissions and the Vasion products that your organization uses. To add or change tools to an agent, you need Edit access or higher on the agent. Refer to Create an Agent.

An agent can perform only the actions that the user running it has permission to perform. In a workflow, the Agent step runs using with the permissions of the user who last saved the workflow revision that contains the step.
