On-Prem Server Requirements

This information is for customers who host their Vasion Automate Pro instance on-prem.

Third-Party Vendor Policy

Vasion Automate Pro works with third-party products listed below — so long as the vendor continues to support them. However, when they reach “end of life” (as defined by the vendor), we can no longer support Vasion Automate Pro on or in conjunction with that software. If this occurs, we suggest you upgrade to a newer version. We define third-party software support as “mainstream support,” not any extended support options a company like Microsoft may offer.

Vasion Automate Pro Server Requirements

All requirements are based on the number of users, volume, and usage. Smaller customers can use a 2-server environment and consolidate server roles as needed. These specs do not apply to hosting environments for MSPs A company that remotely manages a customer's software services or printer services, like installing, managing, and maintaining printers, and supplying consumables. or Resellers.

Vasion Application Server

  • CPU – 2-4 VCPU, 2 GHz or faster.
  • RAM - 8 – 32 GB.

  • Operating System – Windows Server, 2016, 2019, 2022, or 2025.

    Roles required on Server Operating System.

  • Application Server (if applicable based on Server O/S).

  • Microsoft .NET Framework v4.8.

    Recommend that we allow this to be part of the installation process so everyone understands the core elements needed to allow the Vasion Server to operate properly.

Vasion Web Server

  • CPU — 2-4 VCPU, 2 GHz or faster.
  • RAM — 8 – 16 GB.
  • Hard Drive — 100 GB of available Hard Disk Space.

  • Operating System — Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, or 2025.

    Roles Required on Server Operating System.

  • IIS — Web Server Role.
  • Application Server (if applicable based on Server O/S).

  • Microsoft .NET Framework v4.8.

    Recommend that we allow this to be part of the installation process so everyone understands the core elements needed to allow the Vasion Server to operate properly.

Vasion Database Server (SQL Server)

  • CPU — 2-8 VCPU - 2 GHz or faster.
  • RAM — 16 – 64 GB Hard Drive — 100 GB for OS, Separate Volumes for SQL DB and Log files (3 Volumes total) — volume size is based on usage and number of users.
  • Operating System — Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, or 2025.
  • Database Software — MS SQL Server 2016 ,2017 ,2019, or 2022.

  • Advanced Express Edition, Standard, Enterprise, or AWS RDS.

    Roles required on Server Operating System

  • Microsoft .NET Framework v4.8.

File Server, File Share, Storage Device

(Based on volume and usage)

  • RAM — 8 – 16 GB.
  • Hard Drive 200 GB for OS and Storage.
  • Operating System — Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, or 2025.
