Vasion Artificial Intelligence (VAI)
Last Updated: October 09, 2026
Vasion Artificial Intelligence (VAI) is Vasion's AI engine that uses specialized agents to automate enterprise workflows. VAI includes the Print Agent for print infrastructure management and the Forms Agent for creating and editing forms using natural language.
Benefits
VAI uses the Print Agent to manage PrinterLogic resources and the Forms Agent to create and modify forms in Vasion Automate. Together they offer the following benefits:
- Natural language prompts: Describe what you want in plain language. You do not need to memorize syntax or learn a query language.
- Less manual work: Replace repetitive tasks, such as bulk printer changes and form building, with a single prompt.
- Consistent configuration: Apply naming conventions to printers and folders, and match form field names and validation rules to your connected systems.
- Conversational refinement: VAI keeps chat context within a product area, so you can start with a high-level request and refine it with follow-up prompts.
- Permission-aware actions: VAI acts within the permissions of the signed-in user, so only authorized users can run actions such as bulk updates or deletions.
How VAI Works
VAI's intelligence is delivered through AI agents, autonomous software components that observe, analyze, and act within defined areas of the Vasion platform. The Print Agent connects directly to PrinterLogic's management layer for bulk printer management, while the Forms Agent integrates with Vasion Automate to significantly reduce the cognitive load of form creation..
For example an admin can task the agent with identifying printers that do not match naming conventions, then approve a bulk rename. The admin can onboard a new fleet of devices by defining attributes once and letting the agent distribute the configuration across hundreds of printers.
The Forms Agent helps users create sophisticated forms through natural language prompts such as "Create a customer feedback form with rating scales and comment fields." User can build automated workflows without technical expertise.
VAI agents always operate within the permissions of the signed-in user, ensuring that only authorized individuals can perform actions like bulk updates or deletions.
Availability and Roadmap
VAI's architecture is modular and scalable. Each AI agent is designed to specialize in a specific domain, such as print, output, or forms processing. This allows organizations to adopt AI in targeted areas while maintaining visibility and control.
Requirements
To turn on VAI for your environment, the following is required:

Next Steps
Refer to the folowing:
In this topic:
No. Customer data is not used to train or fine-tune any model without explicit consent. All AI processing is performed in the context of your workflow execution and is not retained for model training purposes.
Yes. Agents operate within the permissions of the signed-in user. If a user does not have permission to perform an action in the Vasion platform, an agent acting on their behalf cannot perform it either. Tool access is filtered per-user based on permissions and product licensing.
Vasion Intelligence encompasses all of Vasion's AI capabilities. The Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) step and embedded agent steps in Automate workflows are components within Vasion Intelligence. VAI is the platform's intelligent assistant. All of these features share the same underlying runtime, security controls, and governance framework.
Yes. The agent is restricted by the permissions assigned to the user who is signed in. If the user has access to use the Data Manager, the agent can perform bulk tasks associated with the user permissions.
