Improvements
- Improvements have been done with connectivity between the app and our instance servers to ensure better performance and usability.
- Now, the Reports app has been hidden from the mobile application. This allows users to focus on the most essential features, leading to a cleaner and more intuitive interface.

This release features support for the Open URL and Set Fields custom actions and an enhanced Sign In screen.
Improvements
- Support for the Open URL custom action is now available. When a user selects the Open URL custom button, the app opens the URL in a new screen using the device's default web browser. If the Open URL custom action is set to open a Vasion form, the form opens on a new screen in the app and the user is redirected back to the workflow once the form is submitted.
- Support for the Set Fields custom action is now available. The app handles any Set Fields custom action configuration seamlessly.
- Instances configured with the SAML integration now have a new Sign In screen that shows both the Sign in with SAML button and, as a backup authentication method, the Vasion Username and Password options to allow users access to the instance if they have a Vasion (Local) user configured.

This release features the application of Vasion Automate Pro App security, a new Home screen, and support of the Form Drafts functionality.
Improvements
- Now, users have a new Home screen when they sign in to the Vasion Mobile app. This Home screen has a similar look and feel to the Home web page.
- When a Vasion Automate Pro instance has App security configured, the Home screen only displays the apps the current user has been assigned.

Introducing new Form Drafts functionality. Now, users can save their progress when filling out a form so they can complete and submit it later. This functionality is available in Forms and in Workspace, when starting a form workflow.

This release features usage analytic tracking integrated throughout nearly every functionality. The usage analytics will allow us to identify areas for improvement in the mobile user experience and prioritize features. To opt out of tracking, please contact your Vasion Automate Pro administrator.

- Sign In: The username and password screen now contains an analytics use disclosure with links to the Cookie and Privacy policies.
- Slide-Out Menu: The Version link has been replaced with a Settings button
. The new Settings screen displays the following information:- Account:
- User — the current user's name.
- Instance — The URL of the current instance.
- App Info:
- App Version currently installed.
- Updated on — the date the app was updated.
- Web API version — the version your organization's Vasion Automate Pro instance
- Database version — the version of the database currently running for your organization's Vasion Automate Pro instance.

This version features a new Forms display using the Vasion Automate Pro web interface that is effective on instances running the Web API version 7.0.3.129. Legacy Forms are supported for instances running the Web API Version 7.03.106 and older and it is used as a backup method. Various improvements and fixes are also included.
Improvements
Forms
- New Forms interface displays mobile-friendly forms from Vasion Automate Pro web interface with the following benefits:
- Any updates made to forms on the Web Client immediately carry over to the mobile apps.
- Conditional logic, multi-page, and PDF forms are now supported.
- The new Forms display only leaves the web interface when uploading files.
- For forms that allow or require file attachments the following applies:
- Options specific to the mobile OS to upload files, take pictures, or scan documents display directly from the form.
- File size restrictions and file extensions configured per form are respected and applied to the upload files.
- Legacy Forms display is supported in the app and is used for the following:
- Instances currently running Web API Version 7.0.3.97 and older.
- Instances that do not have the Workflow Web URL configured in the Admin Global Settings.
- If any errors are encountered while loading the new interface.
- Legacy Forms now support the following:
- Conditional logic on all form fields, columns, and data grid components.
- Content components.
- While continuing to support the legacy Forms interface, updates for new features or improvements are not planned.
- Data Grids in legacy Forms now support Date/Time components, day fields, radio buttons, select boxes, Selection components, Time fields, and URL fields.
General
- Users can now use their Vasion Automate Pro URL, the URL they use when signing in on a web browser, to sign in to the Mobile App instead of the API URL.
- SAML Sign In is now supported.
Platform
- Improvements to the User Management endpoints now result in the following benefits:
- The Vasion Mobile app now identifies from which platform the user is signed in. When a user signs out of the app using the Exit button
they are removed from the list of Active Users .and no longer consume a license. - Signing into the mobile app no longer signs users out from the web client.
- In the Web Client, the Active Users tab in User Management now shows a column named Instance which shows when a user is signed in from Android or iOS devices.
- The Vasion Mobile app now identifies from which platform the user is signed in. When a user signs out of the app using the Exit button
Scan
- After saving a scanned file in the Export Document screen, a success modal displays and gives users the option to complete the scan and return to Workspace or export the scanned file to other destinations.
Storage
- SharePoint is now supported.
- Uploading a document to a storage folder with a default object set now displays the Data View screen instead of the Edit Fields screen.
- When browsing folders, file names now wrap to two lines on large file names.
Workspace
- When starting workflow that requires a document upload, any 3rd party storage configured shows after selecting the Vasion Drive option in the Add Document screen.
Document Viewer
- Workflow comments and attachment indicators now only display and show a number where there are comments or file attachments.
Fixes
- When uploading documents to storage folders that have a default object set, the app no longer crashes.

Updates include enhancements to workflow due dates, new workflow and attachment indicators in Document View, default Object folder support in Storage and various fixes.
Improvements
Workspace
- Users can now pull down to refresh the Workspace screen.
- Enhancements on the workflow due date now ensure the due date display respects the workflow and object settings.
Document View
- New badge indicators let users quickly see the number of document attachments and workflow comments on the current document.
- The Workflow History button shows the number of user comments on the current document.
- The Attachments button shows the number of files attached to the current document.
Storage
- Storage now supports the default object settings applied to a folder. When a user adds a file to a folder using their device and the folder has a default object configured, the data view modal prompts users to enter data into the object fields before adding the file.
Forms
- The messages displayed when a user successfully submits a form have been improved to create a uniform app experience.
Fixes
- The default screen after signing is now always the Workspace Pending Tasks screen instead of the last screen accessed by the user.
- Display improvements for workflows with no status.
- When completing an action that requires a password and the wrong password is entered an Invalid Password message always displays now instead of a success message that displayed with some actions.
- The issues that caused Data View to crash when opening some documents is now resolved.
- Data View no longer crashes if a user taps on the screen before the document thumbnails finish loading.
- Users without the appropriate permissions can no longer see the Reports option when accessing the slide out navigation from Storage.

Updates include improvements to the user experience in Workflow, Storage and Search Results. Forms now supports dropdown filters and users with the appropriate permissions can now delete document attachments. Various fixes to long-press behaviors and more.
Improvements
- The Workflow list, Storage file list and Search Results have been completely redesigned as follows:
- Users can now expand a workflow and view additional details. Currently, the information shows the web client's default Workspace view.
- Users can now expand files to see additional details. The information displayed is based on the custom folder view applied to the Storage folder where the file is located.
- Users can now expand the result items to view additional information. The information shows the web client's default Search Results view.
- The Add button
in Workflow and Storage now fades when scrolling through the list, to not obstruct the expand button. To make the Add button reappear, scroll up.
Storage
- The long-press behavior has been updated to create a uniform app experience.
Data View
- Users who have the Document Delete role assigned can now delete document attachments from the Attachments screen.
- Attachment names are now truncated to one line.
Forms
- The app now supports drop-down filters for Object dropdowns and Object multi-select dropdowns.
- When the user selects an option from a dropdown, it may change the options available on another dropdown based on web client configurations.
- Any drop-downs with options already selected will reflect the change, potentially clearing their content if it is no longer available.
Fixes
- The Workflow Due Date now syncs properly with the web client.
- Workspace now loads properly after starting a document upload workflow.
- The Select Workflow screen now shows the workflows in alphabetical order.
- Actions are no longer displayed for workflows in their requests long-press menu.
- Fixed various pagination issues in storage.
- Fixed an issue where an attached document would show the Actions button and crash the app when selected.
- Android 10 users can now add a signature to a form without any issues when the signature is required.
- Selections and multiple selection options now work in Data Grids.
- The app no longer crashes when submitting a form where the first row of a data grid has been deleted.

Data View
- Date fields no longer show “null” if they are empty.
Workspace
- Design updates to workflow items to make the list more readable and fit brand standards.
Document View
- Workflow History is now supported.
- A new Workflow History button is now available on the Document View toolbar. The button only displays for documents that were part of a workflow.
- Workflow History displays any actions and comments that were taken on the current workflow.
- The Actions Modal has been fully redesigned.
- A new Add Comment field and button now displays at the bottom of the document actions so users can enter comments without needing to take an action.
- When an action requires a comment, the user can type the text into the comment box, then tap the action. The comment is submitted with the action, like when using the Vasion Automate Pro Web Client.
Forms
- Now, when a form has conditional logic applied a message displays to let the user know it is not supported.

Scan

Scan’s upload menu now has choices more relevant depending on where the user accesses Scan.

This version of the Vasion Mobile app includes various improvements to Workspace, Document and Data views and Forms.
Improvements
Document View
- The Document View toolbar now shows an Attachments button
for users who have the Document - Linked Document Access role assigned.- Tap Attachments to see a list of documents attached to a workflow. If the workflow has no attachments the screen is blank. When attachments are listed, tap the right arrow for each attachment to view the date it was attached and the date it was modified.
- Tap anywhere in the attachment name to view the attachment. Exit the attachment to return to the open workflow task.
Data View
- Hidden Fields are now supported as follows:
- Users who are assigned the Hidden Fields - View with Value can now see the hidden fields if they are filled.
- Users who are assigned the Hidden Fields - View without Values role can now see the hidden fields if they are not filled.
Forms
- The app now displays an error message when trying to open a multiple page form.
Fixes
- A form workflow can now start properly when the form is not tied to a workflow, but a workflow is tied to the form.
- The comment field border no longer disappears when tapping into the field to enter a comment.
